A very proper boys coat!

What an amazing boys deep navy velvet coat.
At times it's difficult to date these things, but by the style (longer) and the kind of lining it seems very early. Early 1800's? (If anyone knows better please let me know).
The overall condition is good considering age and it displays well as you can see on my child's mannequin. (It's a wee bit snug on my boy, but the shoulders fit well).
The lining is quite worn in some places, but it's not hanging off. The lining in one sleeve is missing.
All of the beautiful braid work is intact, tho there is 1 button missing on the front, and 4 missing on the back.
(My suggestion would be move 1 to front and balance out the back ;-)
Considering age and wear this is just an awesome coat to display in your home!
