The Nested Bluebird ~ Wool & Bits Kit ~ From Rebekah & Kelsey Smith's New Wool Projects Book
More kits coming as soon as another batch of wool arrives!
Thank you for all the kit orders!!
I am please to share with you a little project of friendship! When Rebekah & Kelsey Smith embarked on a new wool projects book, they asked their creative friends to contribute. I'm honored to be included alongside all these creative women. NOTE: you will need a copy of the new book ~ "Exploring folk art with wool appliqué and more" for the pattern and instructions. The book may be ordered from Rebekah's website here: https://www.rebekahlsmith.com/shop
To make things simple, I'm offering a kit to stitch the Nested Bluebird project. To keep cost down and because many stitchers already have a collection of threads, threads are NOT included. But, in addition to the wool, I have included the metal washers for weight, eyes and ribbon to complete your pincushion.
**Slight corrections in instructions:
#1 - pattern calls for wool for beak - it should have said "wool felt", which is a pressed fiber and therefore does not ravel when cut. (the kit includes the proper material).
#2 - the thread used for "wrapping" the tuffet says black - it should read color to match tuffet. (I just feel it blends better ;-)
Hand dyed wool for tuffet, bird & appliqué eggs
Wool felt for beak
Metal washers for weight
Cardstock for base
Sticker to sign your work
**You will need: threads & stuffing to complete your project.
(As well as my "About" page)
*Shipping overages in excess of 2 dollars will be refunded to you thru pay pal ;-)
.** International customers: I will bill you separately for excess shipping difference thru pay pal or refund overage thru pay pal. I do apologize for what seem to be excessive priority international shipping costs, this is out of my control and first class shipping is not trackable once items leave the US.
*** Hand dyed wool, mohair or velvet colors in kits will vary often as dye lots do change. Many fabrics I dye myself and some I purchase from others, this variance in dye lots is what makes these fun projects unique!
