Paddy ~ Original Work ~ 6"
There is a history of the green pig as symbolism for St. Patty's Day, some good, some not so. ~ Many antique holiday decorations depict a pig or piglet. ;-)
Please know that I choose to focus on the context of a wee pig, cavorting amongst the shamrocks. La, la la . . . (Not on a possible derogatory thought of Irish peoples, of which our family has a wee lineage).
This little fellow is created from hand dyed pale green mohair. He is fully jointed, has onyx eyes and wool felt green ears and nose. Paddy wears a hat of green wool, a ruff of vintage ribbon and holds a green shamrock with wired stem!
OH . . . and he has the sweetest wired tail too!
Nicely weighted too.
6" plus to top of hat
