An Olde Ted
What a sweet old fellow! This young (at heart) man is an American style teddy.
They often have a bit of a football shape body. He's just the right amount of faded, floppy, worn, and patched to be perfectly primitive.
I did replace his eyes (or give him eyes as he had none) with antique shoe buttons and also gave him a nose and mouth. I decided to leave his patched paws as is because they look like they were early repairs and sometimes you can go too far.
He did need a face tho!
You can see by the photos that there is more gold color to the back of him . . . not unusual with antique bears since they often spend much of they lives on shelves or lying on a bed or somewhere where their backsides don't often see the light of day
;-)
He's about 17" tall.
