An Olde Bear KIT ~ GOLDEN mohair ~ Make a teddy!
NOTE: This Kit is for the GOLDEN teddy ~ (see mohair color photo)
` The mohair in this kit can vary slightly due to dye lots and the mill. At times it may be a bit deeper or lighter, tho still lovely! ;-)
~ This dear teddy was inspired by an early teddy bear. He is about 10" tall, has glass eyes and is fully jointed. His style is perfect for a beginner as there are no paw pads to set in, yet he still has the look and charm of an olde ted. You will create Teddy from soft German mohair, embroider his nose with Perle cotton, add glass eyes and joint him to be posable.
~ There are multiple ways to create movable joints in teddy bears and I show more than one style when I'm teaching. However, my kits include cotter pin joints (for arms, legs & head) because most people have a needle nose plier or a cotter key around to tighten them with, the other types of jointing hardware take more specialized tools.
** I now include a bag of plastic pellets in all Olde Bear kits should you choose to make him a little "squishy" ~ YIPPEE ~ (To use pellets in the belly, add some regular stuffing to neck and shoulder area, and a teeny bit in the bumm. Pour in pellets to desired squishiness and top off with a layer of stuffing to more easily close the back opening.)

*** Hand dyed wool, mohair or velvet colors in kits will vary often as dye lots do change. Many fabrics I dye myself and some I purchase from others, this variance in dye lots is what makes these fun projects unique!
