~ This dear teddy was inspired by an early teddy bear. He is about 10" tall, has lovely amber glass eyes and is fully jointed. His style is perfect for a beginner as there are no paw pads to set in, yet he still has the look and charm of an olde ted. You will create Teddy from soft black German mohair, embroider his nose with Perle cotton, add glass eyes and joint him to be posable.
~ You will then dress your teddy in a woolen vest with wool appliqué accents and add a bow around his neck!
~ There are multiple ways to create movable joints in teddy bears and I show more than one style when I'm teaching. However, my kits include cotter pin joints (even for arms and legs) because most people have a needle nose plier around to tighten them with, the other types of jointing hardware take more specialized tools.

Kit Includes:
Pattern and instructions
Color Photo
Hints and resources pages
Soft distressed mohair
Joints and cotter pins for head, arms & legs
Rusty Perle cotton (nose)
Amber glass eyes
A wee bit of excelsior - (for in the end of his nose)
Woolens for his vest (use your own threads, embroidery, wool or Valdani threads will work nicely.)

~ You will need your own stuffing (poly, wool, or even pellets should you choose) and sewing threads.

(As well as my "About" page)

* Hand dyed wool, mohair or velvet colors in kits will vary often as dye lots do change. Many fabrics I dye myself and some I purchase from others, this variance in dye lots is what makes these fun projects unique!
